Ian is Lindsays’ Chief Operating Officer. He plays a central role on Lindsays' Management Board. His key focus is the firm's financial and operational performance.
Lindsays has grown and diversified significantly in recent years and Ian is charged with ensuring that this growth and change is managed effectively to bring optimum benefits to the firm's clients and staff.
Ian, a keen athletics enthusiast, is the Chairman of UK Athletics and the Race Director of the West Highland Way Race. He was previously Chair of Scottish Athletics, Vice Chair of Sport Scotland, the national agency for sport, and Vice Chair of the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH). In 2020 he was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to athletics.
