Our delight at being shortlisted as one of the firms in the category of SME of the Year was topped by sharing the celebrations with Scottish entrepreneurs and business leaders at the star-studded awards dinner on Thursday 17 November at the EICC.
Managing Partner, Alasdair Cummings and Ian Beattie, our Chief Operating Officer hosted our table of guests at the fifth annual awards ceremony. Over 2,000 attendees enjoyed a keynote speech from Oscar winner and philanthropist, Leonardo DiCaprio on topics including climate change and the recent US election.
The Scottish Business Awards, which was founded by Josh Littlejohn and is chaired by Scottish businessman and recognised entrepreneur, Sir Tom Hunter, aims to recognise excellence in Scottish business and are the largest business awards event in the UK. The awards have raised over £4m for charitable causes since inception and continue to draw high-calibre guests which this year included the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon who was serenaded by comic, Rob Brydon; Radio 2‘s Chris Evans who compared the evening, and Simple Minds who played live after being presented with the inaugural Andrew Carnegie Award for Inspirational Scots.
We were really pleased to be shortlisted for SME of the Year, a category that recognises the best small-to-medium size companies, which are central to the Scottish economy. The award was scooped on the night by The Leith Agency – congratulations to them.
