Showcase the Street are a registered charity with the objective of making dance, fashion, sport and various other cultural subjects affordable for young people and accessible for everyone.
The charity have been operating from the unique facility at Manhattan Works since September 2014 and increasing numbers of people from the local community continue to access their facilities which include: indoor football pitches, dance studios, and a soon to be roller hockey surface which opens up in the adjoining warehouse unit and will be a first for Scotland.
As part of the support provided by RSB Lindsays to Showcase the Street, our profile/logo has been included on a new display board next to the skills wall at their dance and football facility at Manhattan Works in Dundee.
Fergus Storrier, who currently chairs the Charity, commented: “The new facility has been a great example of using sports and dance to engage with communities across many areas from increased activity to employability training. The support RSB Lindsays have given financially is much appreciated and shows a great example of local business investing in the communities where they work.”
Kate Wyatt, Director in our Employment team, said: “RSB Lindsays is delighted to support the work that Showcase the Street does for the Dundee community. As a firm, we are committed to having a positive impact on the wider community therefore being able to support young people and the local community through this project is very welcome.
“We recognise that the importance of organisations such as Showcase the Street is immeasurable. It is widely proven that making opportunities to engage in physical activity available for young people within the community has enormous social value and health benefits, and most importantly, is fun.”
