Louise Norris has hit another new high in her rapid rise through the ranks by being promoted to Partner in the Commercial Property department, where she previously worked as a Director.
Meanwhile, Rachel Holt has been promoted from Senior Solicitor to Associate in the Personal Injury team.
This is Louise's sixth promotion in seven years at Lindsays, having joined as solicitor in June 2014. She is a Glasgow-born graduate of the University of Dundee who previously spent 10 years working in the USA, where she specialised in property law, acting on behalf of high net worth individuals, developers and insurance companies.
Speaking about her latest promotion, which will see her based with our Glasgow team, she said: “I could not be more delighted. This is a great opportunity.
“The firm is proactive in recognising and rewarding hard work and I look forward to continuing to develop our practice and build on new and existing client relationships in my new role.”
Louise acts for clients across the full spectrum of commercial property, including acquisitions and disposals, leasing, security and dealing with complex title issues. She has also worked with all sectors - from retail, hospitality and office to industrial, development and the third sector.
Rachel's promotion is her next step up the ladder, having joined Lindsays as a solicitor, based in Glasgow, in 2018. As well as heading up the accidents at work team, she specialises in acting for pursuers in claims in a variety of areas, including road traffic accidents, public and occupiers’ liability, medical negligence and industrial disease.
Congratulating her on her promotion, David Armstrong, Head of our Personal Injury team, said: “Rachel is technically excellent - a people person who instils confidence in her clients. I am sure she will continue on an upward trajectory in her career here.”
Alasdair Cummings, our Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Louise and Rachel to their new roles. These promotions are testament to both their personal talent and hard work, as well as our firm’s commitment to recognising and rewarding that by providing opportunities for progression.
“They also demonstrate the strength of the people who are at the forefront of Lindsays’ offer to the people and businesses with whom we work.”
