We are delighted to welcome one of Scotland’s leading litigators, Brent Haywood, who has joined our Dispute Resolution and Litigation team as a Partner.
Brent, a Solicitor Advocate and mediator is described by Chambers and Partners 2015 as “accomplished” and by The Legal 500 2015 as “a clear communicator, attentive listener and a shrewd advisor”.
Brent joins Lindsays from a UK wide firm where he was the senior litigator, practice head and Scottish Executive Partner. Brent has a strong track record in intellectual property, pension disputes, procurement challenges and regulatory matters such as bribery and proceeds of crime.
Brent commented: “I am excited to be joining the team at Lindsays at this moment in its history. Lindsays is a growing, independent Scottish firm that always strives to foster strong relationships with its clients and contacts – the personal touch genuinely matters. That ethos chimes with my values and that is why I wanted to join the partnership”.
“With the implementation of so many reforms to the Scottish court system I wanted to be part of a team that can ably navigate our clients’ disputes to the safest place we can find, whether that is before a judge, an arbiter or a mediator, or better still, by sorting matters out through some straightforward talking.”
Alasdair Cummings, Managing Partner said: “We are delighted to welcome Brent to the firm. He is a recognised expert in his field and is an excellent addition to our growing partnership. His specialist expertise will allow us to continue to deliver an excellent service to our commercial clients.”
