We are delighted to announce that a new Partner and 10 further lawyers are promoted today, across our business.
Kirsty Preston’s appointment to Partner is her second promotion in a year - having made the step up to Senior Associate just 12 months ago.
Kirsty is based in our Dundee office and has climbed the ranks since joining Lindsays as a Senior Solicitor in 2018. She is a Private Client lawyer, advising people in personal legal affairs including Wills, Powers of Attorney and Inheritance Tax.
The latest promotions come on top of 11 others made in April. They included five new Partners.
Each of the newly-promoted solicitors - five of whom work in the Private Client team - begin their new roles today (Tuesday 1 October), with appointments also at the firm’s Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth offices.
The others promoted are:
- Mhairi Cage, Director in the Private Client team in Perth. She was previously a Senior Associate.
- Kerry Gallagher, Director in the Edinburgh-based Commercial Property Department. She has been with Lindsays 11 years and was previously a Senior Associate.
- Darren Lightfoot, Commercial Property Director in Edinburgh. He joined Lindsays as a solicitor in 2017 and was most recently a Senior Associate.
- Stephen O’Hare, Senior Associate in the Private Client team in Perth. He was previously an Associate.
- Lewis Crofts steps up from Associate to Senior Associate in the Edinburgh-based Rural team.
- Eilidh Robertson also becomes a Senior Associate as part of the Rural team in Edinburgh. She was previously an Associate.
- Lauren McGhie, Private Client Associate, based in Glasgow. It is her third promotion since joining Lindsays as a solicitor in January last year (2023).
- Caitlin Connolly has stepped up from Senior Solicitor to Associate too as part of the Edinburgh Private Client team. She started at Lindsays as a trainee in 2018.
- Lesley McKinlay also becomes a Private Client Associate in Edinburgh, having been a Senior Solicitor with the firm for five years.
- Philippa Abernethy steps up from Senior Solicitor to Associate in the Family team, working out of the Glasgow offices. She also first worked with the firm as a trainee.
