We are delighted to have assisted Edinburgh-based insurance brokers, Bruce Stevenson, in a deal to become part of Aston Lark, the chartered insurance broker based in the UK and backed by Goldman Sachs.
Bruce Stevenson is a long-term client of Lindsays – we have advised them on legal matters since 2002 – and the relationship originated with Alasdair Cummings, our Managing Partner. Our services were provided by a multi-service team who assisted with this transaction with corporate, employment and property expertise to help complete the transaction.
David Wood (Partner), Nimarta Cheema (Senior Solicitor) and Claire Hurst (Company Secretarial Assistant) provided the corporate expertise, while Kate Wyatt (Partner) and Scott Geekie (Senior Associate) assisted with the employment and property matters respectively.
The deal involved considerable time pressure and our team successfully helped deliver the completion on schedule.
Edward Bruce, the firm's chief executive, will lead Aston Lark’s Scottish operations, including its existing team in Glasgow, and the Bruce Stevenson brand will be maintained for the foreseeable future.
