We are delighted to announce that our sponsorship of the Scottish Cross Country Season is extended for another two years which will now continue until the end of 2025/26, making it one of the longest deals in Scottish sport.
The LindsaysXC Season covers District and National events each winter and this year we celebrate a decade of this partnership with scottishathletics.
Initially the events we were involved with included the National Relays, the Short Course and the National XC. However, additional events have now been introduced into our agreement so that now the District Relays, District Champs and Masters XC are included as well as the opportunity for clubs to compete for the Lindsays Trophy which focuses on participation numbers by clubs.
Ian Beattie MBE, our Chief Operating Officer and Chairman of UK Athletics said: “The Lindsays Cross Country series continues to go from strength to strength. As a firm, we are delighted to have played our part in helping that to happen - and to extend our support through to 2026.
“This is one of the longest-running sponsorships in Scottish sport because we see the difference that it makes to the athletes, their clubs and the health of their communities. As a firm, we encourage participation in sport as part of a lifestyle which fosters good physical and mental health.
“We are looking forward to another tremendous season of competition. Good luck to everyone who will be taking part.”
The three main National championships events will be held at Cumbernauld (Relays), Kirkcaldy (Short Course) and Falkirk (National XC).
This season starts on Saturday 7 October with the Lindsays District Cross Country Relay Championships being held in Livingston (East), Nairn (North) and Glasgow (West).
