We are delighted to have joined forces with Broughty Ferry Curling club as well as sponsoring the Phin League in Dundee. A team from our Dundee office are boosting the ranks of this historic curling club and putting our name to a renowned competition.
Nine colleagues from Lindsays Dundee office have been part of our own curling team in recent years, taking to the ice to play competitively. But they have now joined forces with Broughty Ferry Curling Club, with the legal professionals adding to their number - and enjoying the benefits of being part of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club-affiliated operation. Our players now compete at Dundee Ice Arena and Forfar Ice Rink twice weekly in competitions during the new season.
On top of that, Lindsays is also investing in the future of curling throughout Dundee and Angus by sponsoring the Phin League in Dundee - and the rink at Forfar.
David Rose (Partner), is among the firm’s players and he said: “We have had a team in the Monday night league for a few years and have now been encouraged to affiliate ourselves with one of the local curling clubs - opening up new options for us - and everyone at Broughty Ferry has been so welcoming.
“For our colleagues, it’s a great chance for us to enjoy some sport together. It’s also another way in which we are part of the community in Tayside.”
Broughty Ferry Curling Club secretary Alastair Scott says the alliance with Lindsays is a great way to support the teams.
He added: “We are delighted to have them join us - and for Lindsays to come in and sponsor the Phin League, which is a great support to the sport locally.
“We are all looking forward to an enjoyable winter of competition.”
