As entries for the 2017 Lindsays National XC Championships closed this week, we may see a record number of runners taking part again this year. Among the participants, there will also be three Scottish Olympians racing, Callum Hawkins, Beth Potter (pictured) and Freya Ross.
The organisers at scottishathletics have now finalised the course and details of the map and event information can be found here.
With the countdown very much on towards the big day, you can watch a video preview of parts of the course with Olympian and six-times National winner, Freya Ross, and TV and radio presenter, and on-course commentator on race day, Bryan Burnett.
Participating clubs will also be in the running to receive the Lindsays trophy which is presented to the club with the highest number of finishers at three of the key National XC events – the National Relays, the National Short Course champs and the National XC itself.
