Our Lindsays team enjoyed another highly successful day at Tour de Forth 2018 as they joined over 600 riders to complete the 97.3km (60 mile) course.
The weather may have been mixed, however the enjoyable route as cyclists headed over the Forth Road Bridge and then west along the Fife coast followed by the challenging hills faced in the second half, made the sportive experience and sense of achievement very worthwhile.
The event aims to raise funds for two very worthy charitable causes: Cash for Kids and Mercy Corps. We are delighted that our team has generated donations in excess of £2,500 through generous support from colleagues, family and friends which is much appreciated.
Peter Tweedie, our Chairman and Trustee of Tour de Forth charity, was the driving force and organiser of Team Lindsays. He commented on the success of day, saying: “I’d like to congratulate our team members, some of whom faced more unexpected challenges on the day than others, on finishing the sportive.
“I am grateful for their participation and for their fundraising efforts. It was great to see such a mix of cyclists taking part yet again and the support from the marshals, event organisers, the charities and of course Radio Forth all helped to make for another massively enjoyable day.”
You can still donate to the causes that funds are being raised to support here.
