Lindsays’ client FanDuel, the Edinburgh-based sports entertainment business, recently announced that it will be moving its UK head office to a new £50m seven-storey building at the city centre’s Quartermile development.
Our commercial property experts advised on the deal in which FanDuel has agreed a 15 year lease for the top three floors of the Quartermile 4 building which will accommodate up to 500 people. The company are currently situated in Quartermile 1 and had ‘little hesitation when the opportunity arose to relocate to another part of the same development’ according to Chief Executive, Nigel Eccles.
Alan McLaren, Partner in Lindsays Commercial Property team commented: “We are delighted to have helped FanDuel in documenting their office relocation. We worked very closely with FanDuel, their agents, Eric Young & Company and surveyors, HK Surveying & Design to get the deal over the line within very tight timescales – which could not have been done without rethinking the way we document deals such as this.
“I'm proud to have been involved with this project and would like to thank Neil Gordon of Eric Young & Company and Nick Hughes of HK Surveying & Design for their invaluable input, and of course FanDuel for instructing us.”
