It was a remarkable response from scottishathletics clubs with competitor numbers almost reaching 1600 athletes and 197 finishing the senior races.
Conditions were tough, and all runners finished their races with a head to foot mud coating. Andrew Butchard of Central AC and Maddie Murray from Edinburgh AC were both first time winners of the senior titles.
