The applications for traineeships starting in August 2026 have now closed. Our next recruitment round for traineeships will be for Trainees starting in December 2027 and this will commence in spring 2026. Please note Lindsays do not offer work experience or summer placement schemes.
As a Lindsays trainee you will gain experience in three seats over the two years, from a mix of areas of law and, as you progress through your traineeship, you will gain an understanding of a client’s needs and the work each department carries out on their behalf. You will have direct contact with clients and hands on involvement with projects and transactions and, upon qualification, will be equipped with the skills required to become a successful lawyer.
Throughout your traineeship, we will offer you friendly, professional advice and support. We will fund your attendance at various seminars, conferences and skills workshops which, along with the practical experience gained in your seat, will assist in the achievement of the PEAT 2 outcomes and ensure you meet TCPD requirements.
Trainees tell us that one of the aspects of life at Lindsays they especially appreciate is the office culture – where people make the effort to get to know each other.
We offer our trainees a salary rate as recommended by the Law Society and excellent working conditions. We believe strongly in the value of work/life balance for employees at all stages of their career and their life. We want our trainees to enjoy the social events we organise ourselves as well as enjoying their own life outside the office.
Whilst the core contractual hours offered are 9am – 5pm, the culture of the firm allows a certain amount of flexibility subject to the needs of the business.
